Beeston Castle & Woodland Park
Beeston Castle, known as the 'Castle of the Rock,' offers spectacular views spanning eight counties, from the Pennines to the Welsh mountains. Built in 1225 by Ranulph, the 6th Earl of Chester, this mighty castle stands on a crag with over 4,000 years of history. Visitors can explore beautiful woodlands, wildlife trails, and search for Richard II's lost treasure. Note that stout shoes and the ability to walk up steep slopes are required, and there is no wheelchair access.
Blue Planet Aquarium
Blue Planet Aquarium, the UK's largest aquarium, features 35 exhibits in 5 themed areas, including a 230ft underwater tunnel, interactive displays, and over 15 species of sharks. Visitors can touch Dogfish and Rays in shallow pools, and enjoy the experience regardless of the weather. Ideal for group outings, special discounts are available for parties of 15 or more.
National Waterways Museum

Bollin Valley
The River Bollin, stretching 49km from Macclesfield Forest to the Manchester Ship Canal, offers diverse interests like wildflowers, fungi, canals, and industrial archaeology. Originating from Toot Hill, it is joined by the River Dean mid-way, covering a combined catchment area of 273 sq km. Managed by the Bollin Valley Partnership, the area includes numerous sites and the Bollin Valley Way, a route following the river from Macclesfield to the River Mersey near Partington.
Bramhall Hall
Bramall Hall, Hat Works, and Staircase House have received the Sandford Award for excellence in education. Bramall Hall offers Tudor and Victorian architecture-based programs for Key Stages 1, 2, and 3, adaptable for GCSE, post-16 students, and pupils with special needs. Early Years Foundation groups are also catered to. Additionally, they provide an outreach program, bringing educational sessions to schools to make learning accessible despite high trip costs.
Cheshire Ice Cream Farm
The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire offers a fun day out with irresistible ice creams, outdoor play areas, Animal Corner, a Country Kitchen Café, kids' quad bikes, mini golf, and more. The experience offers two staff-led activities, including a 1½-hour museum tour that can be customized to cover specific topics. The visit also allows time to shop for souvenirs.

Little Moreton Hall is a unique and well-preserved example of a Tudor timber-framed manor house in England, offering insights into the Moreton family and life over 500 years ago. Welcome to Lyme Park on the edge of the Peak District, once home to the Legh family.
