We have now been delivering our learning programme in our spectacular new museum for over a year and our new facilities have proved to be a fantastic resource for groups of all ages.

These include our Learning Studio providing a purpose-built space for our creative participate workshops, a fully equipped Mini Theatre at the heart of the museum for our expanded Living History performances and Little People’s History Museum story sessions, as well as additional spaces for lectures, talks and workshops.

The museum is a great place for little ones to explore, with hands-on activities and dressing up. To enhance your visit borrow one of our exciting new Explorer Bags. The bags contain a selection of fantastic resources to help your group explore the museum and engage with the collections

Our half day Living History workshops use performance, interactive drama activities and gallery exploration to bring learning to life. Our sessions provide lots of opportunities for cross curricular learning and link directly to the National Curriculum. We use professional actors, writers and directors to deliver our Living History sessions.
