Bring history to life!

The Museum has a learning team, consisting of trained volunteers who can help your students explore the museum, providing them with a unique understanding of Manchester’s social history.

The National Curriculum
The Museum has introduced a new learning action plan, which the learning team are in the midst of developing.

Our aim is to provide a learning service that offers something for all ages. However due to restricted access for prams it may not be suitable for extremely young children aged 5 and under. We do advise against children under the age of 9 going into the Crime room.

Educational visits can be booked on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and booking is essential.

Using the Courtroom
The Courtroom is available to book and use for role-play, trainings or plays. We are in the process of developing some mock courtroom scripts which will be available for teachers to use with groups in the Courtroom. At the moment teachers booking the Courtroom will need to arrange scripts and content for the session themselves.
