The International Slavery Museum offers a range of activities, sessions and resources for education and community groups of all ages. Learning sessions are free sessions specially devised, often around the national curriculum, to offer learning opportunities based on our collections and displays. Most sessions are led for you by a member of our staff.

The International Slavery Museum explores both the historical and contemporary aspects of slavery, addressing the many legacies of the slave trade and telling stories of bravery and rebellion amongst the enslaved people.

We welcome groups of Early Years children from both schools and nurseries to the museum, where they will find many colourful and unusual objects to inspire conversation and creative work. as well as providing an historical overview of the subject.
