The 5 November events are very popular so Belle Vue and TfGM recommend that you arrive an hour before the bonfire and fireworks to avoid disappointment and difficulty accessing the event.

One of the best parts of Autumn is that we get to celebrate Bonfire Night and attend fireworks shows across the North West.

We may need to brave the damp, cold and darkness, but it’s all worth it when we see Manchester’s skyline crackle and sparkle.

Events are taking place across the region, with some of the biggest taking place in the heart of the city. We have listed the biggest official events in Greater Manchester which are free and are endorsed and supported by Manchester City Council and Transport for Greater Manchester.

Bonfire Night celebrations give the perfect opportunity to meet with family and friends for a fun-filled evening in front of the fire – all in the name of Guy Fawkes.

This year, November 5th falls on a Tuesday, and while there are still a lot of festivities taking place on the night, some have been organised for the weekend to make things less of a rush from leaving work.

All of these events in Greater Manchester are free to enter, and have other entertainment on offer such as a funfair, as well as food and drink stalls. Treacle toffee, black peas, toffee apples and more!

Manchester City Council has also warned that searches will be in place at all events. Therefore, they advise visitors to leave unnecessary bags at home to avoid huge queues.

You won’t be able to bring your own alcohol or fireworks to these events. Also drones are also not permitted – a new ruling based on the uptake of this technology and the risks associated with competing and non-coordinated elements in the airspace above us.

The message from Manchester City Council is that is also recommends people use public transport, because parking on site is limited. Belle Vue offers many solutions. Call on 0161 947 9477 and tell us your party number, places where you want us to pick you up/drop you off and we will get you safely there and home in warmth, comfort, style and luxury!

So, if you’re a Manchester local or wanting to head closer to the centre of the region to celebrate the fifth of November, then here’s what is taking place in Greater Manchester:
